Country living dreams are now a reality with the release of Urbex’s $24 million country land estate, Elwood Rise at D’Aguilar on Brisbane’s northside. Urbex will deliver Elwood Rise over five stages with 95 rural residential lots ranging in size from 3,005sqm to 2.08 hectares.

Urbex Project Director Geoff Burn said the demand for homes with more land for the family, while still having close proximity to Brisbane was what initially attracted the group to the 48.57ha site purchased towards the end of 2015. “Country style living with the benefit of city vicinity is a precious commodity – You can buy 4,000sqm of land at Elwood Rise with hinterland and mountain views for the same amount you can buy a 450sq m lot 10 minutes down the road,” Mr Burn said.

“We hear more and more from our customers that they want space to breathe, grow a veggie garden or simply play cricket with the kids and the inner city small blocks just don’t allow for the Aussie lifestyle we all know and love – Elwood Rise will fill that gap in the market.

“It will also appeal to those that love the great outdoors, with over 800 hectares of national parks close by, located between the D’Aguilar National Park, the Glass House Mountains and Bellthorpe National Park, as well as being 40 minutes from both Bribie Island and Somerset Dam and only one hour to the Sunshine Coast.

With blocks starting from $249,000, Mr Burn said they had already seen enormous interest from owner occupiers, such as young couple Carissa and Andres Jimenez who purchased a 3,972sqm lot to build their first home.
“We previously lived at Clayfield, but were so attracted to the space, to live off the land, the country life and the opportunity to build our dream home,” Mrs Jimenez said.

“We both work at the Brisbane Airport and felt the location was the right distance between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast which was important for our work life and lifestyle – We were also attracted to Elwood Rise because of all the hiking trials close by,” Mr Jimenez said. “We expect to start building in the next 2 – 3 months so we can call Elwood Rise home in 2018.”

Elwood Rise is located 25km from the Bruce Highway, 6.5km from the historic town of Woodford, 20 minutes from Caboolture and one hour to Brisbane’s CBD.
