The group of 38 women riders cycled over 350 kilometres from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and back; battling conditions of storms, heavy rain and hot weather, across trying terrains including the hinterland region.
This Chain Reaction ride is Tiffany’s first, being encouraged by Urbex General Manager Peter Sherrie who has been a competitor since 2016. Urbex were a key corporate sponsor in the ride, sponsoring one of the jersey categories – The coveted Polka-dot Jersey. The Urbex polka-dot jersey is traditionally worn by the ‘Queen of the mountains’ (the best climber on the tour). In Chain Reaction, this jersey is awarded to someone who has reached great heights in their fundraising or overcome a large hurdle. Tiffany was fortunate to present the Urbex jersey to the daily winner over the three day ride.
Tiffany described the experience as “incredibly fun and rewarding; not just throughout the event ride but, also the training journey as well. I have met some fantastic people and plan on continuing training rides with them into the future. I’m really grateful for Urbex’s encouragement to get involved and for their corporate support”.
The Urbex team are extremely proud of Tiffany’s accomplishments for charity, as well as being proud to support such a worthwhile event.
